Outside Sales Engineer

Job Description

The Outside Sales Engineer will be responsible for the profitable sales growth of the company by developing new customer sales within assigned prospects and market segments and managing assigned customer relationships. The successful candidate will be committed to the highest level of integrity, trust and responsibility; bring a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations, and exhibit strong leadership, planning and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact prospects that are generated by external sources from sales leads.
• Identify key decision makers within targeted sales leads to help initiate the sales process.
• Generate quotes/proposals as appropriate.
• Sourcing of products requested by customers.
• Support Marketing efforts such as direct mail, trade shows, exhibits, PowerPoint presentations.
• Coordinate with factories and field service requests by customer.
• Attend sales training provided by Manufacturer's - will require travel.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree - Engineering, Marketing or Business preferred.
• 3 years minimum sales and/or account management.
• Ability to convert prospects and close opportunities.
• Experience in opportunity qualification, account development, and time management.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with high energy.
• Skill and comfort in working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

Location: Carlsbad, North County San Diego
Schedule: Full Time Exempt Position | Monday-Friday
Commitment: 40+ hours per week
